Linda Penix

Linda is from Randolph, Ohio. It is near Kent State University, her alma mater, where she earned a BS in Education.
Linda started sewing when she was in high school. Her grandmother and great aunt got her interested in crafts, including knitting, crochet, cross stitch and quilting. In 1970s she finished a quilt her late grandmother had started, hand piecing and hand quilting it. But because of work, husband and raising two boys her passion for quilting did not surface until the 1990s when she joined a quilt guild.
Linda started attending retreats in Shawnee State Park and Quilt Camp in Ripley and her passion grew. Linda has attended Quilt camp for over 25 years. She has organized retreats for her guild members.
She likes a challenge when she selects a pattern. So, her interests have led her to do hand and machine embroidery, paper pieing, hand and machine applique, wool applique and quilt designing. She has taught fellow guild members different quilt patterns, several blocks of the month and different techniques.
