Jeri Fickes

Jeri Fickes has been piecing and quilting since 1988 and is no stranger to Quilt Camp having attended over 25 years. She has taught many different quilting classes of various skill levels at her church and also workshops for her quilt guild, The Tree City Quilters’ Guild in Wooster, of which she is a founding member. Jeri has served in several different leadership capacities in her guild. She also teaches regularly at Somewhere Sewing in Millersburg, Ohio. She has won awards at national quilt shows and local and state fairs. She made her first quilt from a Sew Kind of Wonderful pattern using the Quick Curve Ruler in 2015 and has not stopped making quilts using their rulers and patterns and has also designed a few of her own using their rulers. She has recently become a certified instructor for Sew Kind of Wonderful. Jeri loves every aspect of quilting and many other different styles of piecing and quilting, including One Block Wonder quilts and paper piecing. She retired in 2014 from a 36 year career as a high school principal's secretary where she often looked forward to Fridays. For the past three years she has been "working" at Somewhere Sewing one day a week-- on Fridays. She still looks forward to Fridays.

Jeri is known to her grandchildren as Kuku and she is cuckoo for quilting.
