Brian McCoy, also known as ‘The Redneck Quilter™’, owns Bolts & Quarters Quilt Shop in Parkersburg, WV since 2014, and has been quilting for over 22 years. He is one enthusiastic quilter and teacher! It all started small. Brian joined a local Ohio guild in Athens and began to learn everything his fellow quilters would teach him, eventually serving as President of that guild for 2 years. Later, he worked part-time at Joann Fabrics in Parkersburg, WV, and listened to his supervisor, who told him he needed to start his own quilt shop, because so many quilting customers were asking him for advice and assistance. In 2013, he purchased a small local shop, converting it into Bolts & Quarters. Brian has now grown this business into the largest quilt shop in WV, with over 7,000 bolts of fabrics, 14 employees, and 3 classrooms, with more than 250 classes offered each year! Brian enjoys designing one of a kind quilt patterns and loves to teach these new and unique patterns at his shop, guild meetings, retreats, shows and anywhere folks want to learn how to quilt. Brian is also a Certified Instructor for Studio 180 Design and Deb Tucker.
