Crazy Blooms
Mary Ann Webb
Level 2 – Students should be aware of and have worked on projects using techniques listed in level 1 description.
Crazy Blooms is a fun quilt made using the “crazy” method of stacking and shuffling fabrics to make wonky blocks. The “crazy” method was made popular in a series of books in the past, put out by “The Buggy Barn Inc”. This pattern was previously called “Spring Fever” and was in a book called Certifiably Crazy. It has been reissued in single-pattern form and renamed Crazy Blooms. 30 fat quarters will make 30 blocks, so if you want a larger quilt, just add more fat quarters. My sample was made with 42. Let’s get crazy and make some crazy blooms!
