This beautiful wall hanging is created using a variety of techniques. The mariners compass is paper pieced and the waves that create the border are machine appliquéd. The letters depicting direction are appliquéd and embellished with embroidery stitching.

Tresha is a lifelong resident of Rosedale, WV. The daughter of a Baptist Preacher and raised on a farm, she is a country girl at heart. Tresha began sewing around the age of ten. The first thing she remembers sewing were nine patch blocks. She took her first quilting class in 1992 to learn how to use a rotary cutter and was immediately hooked. Tresha enjoys working with her hands and has explored many fields of art but quilting is her passion. She enjoys every aspect of quilting. She loves learning new techniques, and teaching others what she has learned. Tresha believes you never stop learning, she continues to take classes whenever the opportunity arises. She has been married to her high school sweetheart for over 35 years. They have 3 grown children and 6 wonderful grandchildren.
