Upcycling Quilting

Level 1 – Teaches basic use of a sewing machine, ironing/pressing, rotary tools as well as proper thread tension, stitch size, and seam allowance consistency, appropriate for true beginners.

Upcycling Quilting - During this workshop, you will make a garment and two bags. After shopping at your local thrift store, we will use an old bedspread or quilt to make a top or jacket (your choice). Then with a couple of pair of old blue jeans, we will make a tote and two smaller bags. A great class to learn how to make your own patterns and keep fabric out of your local landfill.
