Pineapple

Level 2 – Students should be aware of and have worked on projects using techniques listed in level 1 description.

The “Pineapple” quilt is a traditional, fun pattern that dates back to the 1800s. Construction of the block can be somewhat challenging, but we will be using the Creative Grids “Pineapple Trim Tool” which makes it fun, easy, and always accurate. There are many color combinations and layouts possible for this quilt, and I encourage you to look online for ideas. There is not a pattern required for this class, and I will be giving you some approximate yardages in order to make a lap-sized quilt, but please feel free to make any size you desire…just increase the amount of yardage and number of blocks.
