This is a Level 1 Class. It teaches basic use of needed tools, as well as proper thread tension, stitch size, and seam allowance consistency – appropriate for true beginners. For all levels of quilt camper, little prior knowledge of quiltmaking techniques are needed in this class.
This is a fun and easy class that would make a great souvenir of your week at Quilt Camp. It's the perfect class for beginners or campers who want to enjoy the fellowship of Ripley with no stress. This contemporary 4-color quilt appeals to the younger 'Instagram' generation, and it stitches up quickly! Pattern is sized from large lap to generous queen and most will be able to complete it while at camp, meaning there's not One More UFO on your 'to do' list when you go home!
Pattern is $5 and will be available during class. There are NO pre-class cutting instructions.
Class requirements: well-running sewing machine (straight stitch only is fine), gas pedal and power cord. Basic sewing supplies. 18" or 24" ruler. Cutting mat. Rotary cutter.
