This is a Level 1 Class. It teaches basic use of needed tools, as well as proper thread tension, stitch size, and seam allowance consistency – appropriate for true beginners. For all levels of quilt camper, little prior knowledge of quiltmaking techniques are needed in this class.
This is a fun and interesting pattern that is perfect for beginners or quilters who just want to come to camp to make something beautiful and avoid any stress! The quilt goes together quickly and beginners will learn how to work with diagonal seams and how to decide which way to press their seams. Most students will finish during camp time, meaning there is not another UFO going home with you after camp!
Pattern is $5 and will be available during class. There is no homework prior to our class. Pattern will make a large lap quilt up to a generous queen size top.
Supply list: well-running sewing machine (straight stitch only is fine!), gas pedal and power cord, basic sewing supplies, 18" or 24" ruler. Mat. Rotary cutter. Neutral thread.
