This is a Level 1 Class. It teaches basic use of needed tools, as well as proper thread tension, stitch size, and seam allowance consistency – appropriate for true beginners. For all levels of quilt camper, little prior knowledge of quiltmaking techniques are needed in this class.

Discover the relaxing joy of the Siddi quilting style called Kawandi. This quilt is hand stitched beginning on the outside of your quilt and stitched together toward the center. Kawandis are made completely from scraps. During the process you will hear about the Siddi people, discover their customs and spend time getting to know your fellow campers.

This process is a great way to use your scrap fabric and batting. It is very relaxing and a great way to destress while creating a beautiful throw quilt.
