Gel Printing

Gel plates are a lot of fun to play with. You can make simple and complex shapes on fabric and paper. You can create realistic imprint images or simple mono print with many shapes, using your favorite colors - and maybe try some new ones. You will learn the basic method of creating beautiful gel prints. Plastic stencils can be used, as well as paper stencils that you will cut in class. Simple shapes can have an amazing effect. Good quality fabric paint is essential, and once heat set, makes the prints permanent, washable and durable. These will be small scale prints, 5x7 or 8x10, or combined into larger prints, and can be used in your quilts or other fabric projects. In this two day class there will be no sewing, just learning to make prints, low stress, fun and surprises.
