Level 2 - Students should be aware of and have worked on projects using a sewing machine, iron, and rotary tools and have an understanding of proper thread tension, stitch size, and seam allowance consistency.
This class is all about exploring 4 different techniques for appliquéing and piecing circles into your quilts. It’s a fantastic opportunity to showcase those beautiful fabrics you’ve been saving! Students will have several options for participating and creating their own quilts:
• Bring Your Own Fabrics: Feel free to bring your favorite fabrics and create a sample block for each technique.
• Choose Your Favorite: If you find a method you love, you can start working on four blocks for your quilt!
• Pre-Cut Circles Available: For a small fee, the instructor will have a selection of pre-cut circles featuring fabulous Tula Pink and Charley Harper designs.
• Full Kits for Convenience: If you prefer, full kits will also be available for purchase
9-Block Quilt: Finishes at 30” x 30” 16-Block Quilt: Finishes at 38” x 38”
Pattern Fee $12; optional pre-cut kits available ranging from $2 for a precut circle to $85 for a 16 block kit.
